General Rules

Age Requirement

Players must be at least 18 years old to be whitelisted on our server. If asked to show id and decline, your passport will be revoked.

Random Death Matching (RDM)

Do not kill other players or groups randomly without any roleplay leading up to the event.

Vehicle Death Matching (VDM)

Do not use your vehicle to run people over, unless you are being threatened and the individual(s) is immediately in your path. Vehicles can be used to hit/ram other vehicles, but this does not mean you can intentionally hit a vehicle into a person.

Metagaming

You may not use information which your character doesn't know.

Anything learned from other media sources (Discord, Twitch, YouTube, etc.) may not be acted upon by your character (unless they learn it in game or the appropriate in-character Discord chats).

Powergaming

Do not abuse game mechanics that gives a character/group an advantage to win every situation.

Exploiting

You are not permitted to exploit bugs or unintended features for personal gain. You are required to report a bug if you find one.

Combat Logging, Suicide & Respawning

You are not allowed to kill your character, log off or forcibly re-spawn to avoid situations. If you have to log off but you are in the middle of a roleplay situation, you will need to get permission from all parties involved before doing so. This also includes police chases. If you kill yourself to avoid jail you will still be arrested.

Behavior

Toxic behavior will not be tolerated. This includes spamming, drama, racism, scamming, social engineering or anything that is generally unhealthy for the game.

Just don't be someone that makes the game uplayable for others. If a character's personality does that then we may need to look at going another direction with that character or just not allowing it. This will all be case by case.

GTA Driving

GTA driving is allowed on the server. GTA driving means taking jumps or crashing your vehicle where in IRL you would have been seriously injured. You are allowed to keep the chase/get-a-way going.

Limitations:

  • Using a motorcycle that is designed for the road and going straight up a mountain is not permitted.

Characters & Role-play

General

Stay in character and don't break role-play for any reason. Any type of rape roleplay will not be tolerated, and will result in a perm ban, ERP is fine, as long as both parties are ok with it. Try to role-play everything including asking questions of how to do stuff in-game. I.E. “What muscle do I need to flex to put my hands up?” Get creative!

Valuing Your Life

You are expected to value your life as you would if you only had one life.

Exceptions:

  • If you plan on permanently killing off that character.
  • A 2:1 ratio fight back rule is in place. An individual may stand their ground and fight against aggressors in that ratio. If the ratio is higher then 2:1, the individual must value their life. Gang turfs/situations may differ.
    • This does NOT allow you to just walk away from a hostile encounter. You MUST either fight back or comply.

Poor/Fail RP

Staff has full discretion to issue warnings and bans for Poor RP. Poor RP issues include, but are not limited to:

Not RPing out your injuries

Failing to provide in depth interactions

No attempt to continue an RP scenario that was started by another person.

Forced RP

Do not force someone to do something that would result in drastic character changes.

Downed/Dead

Downed:

  • Is the first state your character goes into after you character reaches 0 health in-game.
  • An effort to RP you injuries should be made and if brought back up from downed in an active situation by defibrillators you can continue fighting.
  • If downed, the downed individual(s) may retaliate against their assailant(s) if they wish to continue the rp. The individual(s) that downed the person(s) cannot continue to antagonize the downed individual(s) once a scene has ended. However if the downed individual(s) returns, starts criminal activity, antagonizing communications, disregarding any demands before, or that led to the downed state, the individuals may pickup the rp that led to the down state. This does not apply to cop/crim situations
  • People in a downed state can be taken hostage
  • You can talk when you're down

Dead/Killed:

  • Dead/Killed is the state after downed. There are two ways to enter the state.
    1. Hold E for 5 seconds after being downed for 10 seconds and not being in active role-play or being used as a hostage
    2. Continue to be shot, kicked or injured in anyway which will force you to the dead state
  • If an individual is sent to the dead state, that situation is then ended on both parties. The individual that is sent to the dead state MAY NOT remember the situation leading to their death. The individual(s) causing the death may not antagonize the other person(s), unless a new situation is started by the individual(s) that where killed. Situations include criminal activity, antagonizing communications, disregarding any demands before, or that led to the dead state. This does not apply to cop/crim situations
  • You cannot speak while you are dead (outside of bug related issues)

Body camping when you have downed/killed someone will not be tolerated. Please do what you have to do and move on. If your RP is to take the body to a remote destination, do this and get away from the body.

When you are downed and EMS responds YOU HAVE TO RP YOUR INJURIES OUT! If they /me checks pulse you must respond with the status of your pulse i.e /me pulse normal. Every /me they use you MUST respond back to let them know how to handle the situation. You are also not to tell EMS when the situation is over, they will rp it out, and let you know when you are ok to leave. If anyone fails to rp things out with them, or gives EMS a shitty rp scenario they will be sending in a player report. Any questions about this rule, be sure and ask the staff member interviewing you.

New Life Rule & Revenge Killing

You are not allowed to seek out and/or kill anyone involved with your character entering the dead state. When you enter the dead state, your character loses all memory leading up to and including their death. This may involve no longer knowing or recognizing your killer(s) after dying. However, if you were actively committing a crime at time of entering dead state and caught by the police you will still remember the details regarding the crime.

You must also do your absolute best to avoid the player(s) who killed you, and definitely not kill them, provoke them, or otherwise engage them in any role play situation.

If you are killed in an area that is not crucial to your character (house, or job), you should avoid the area to make a better roleplay for a while. This all also applies to any death even accidental.

Suicide RP

Suicide is NOT allowed. If your character's story has played out and you want to perm them, find a way other than killing yourself.

Criminal Activity

Hostages

If you are taking hostages, you must announce to the police that you have a hostage - they have a protocol to respond.

Hostages CAN NOT be affiliated with your group (i.e. they can't intentionally be a hostage as part of the plan).

Hostages of any kind cannot be used to get someone out of police custody that is already at a police station or jail.

Cops cannot be taken hostage unless there are more than 3 officers on duty that are not actively being held hostage. This means if there are 4 cops on duty only 1 can be taken hostage at a time.

Robberies

Robbery player limits:

  • Stores, Fleecas (Small Banks) and Jewelry Robberies:
    • Locked to four (4) criminals/civilians and up to two more cops than crims/civs locked into
  • Pacific Bank (Big Bank) and Bobcat Heist:
    • Locked into six (6) criminals and unlimited cops

If you have an outside shooter/driver that the police are not aware of and they ask you have to inform the cops.

If a helicopter/plane/motorcycle is intended to be used then criminals MUST inform the cops and give them time to acquire a means to counter it. These cannot be a primary means of escape.

Drug Selling

Kill Houses

if you lead police on a chase to a kill house, there will be no cap on officers that can respond. If there are 8 cops on duty, or 20 cops on duty, all officers will be able to respond. The criminal cap for the starting situation will remain in place. A kill house is defined as a structure in which cops would have to breach to apprehend suspects.

EMS

Killing & Kiidnapping

If less than 4 are on duty EMS are not to be kidnapped or killed under any circumstances. However, if they are attempting to move bodies, revive or generally interfere with an apparent ongoing situation then you can handle them accordingly. You can tell them to back up if you are still dealing with someone, and they will comply. If you shoot someone and have no further use for their body try to leave the area before they arrive if possible.

You cannot bait EMS to take one hostage. This means placing a fake 911 call for them to respond.

EMS personnel can protect their self once kidnapping/killing is allowed

EMS Vehicles

EMS vehicles are not to be stolen, this includes local EMS and fire trucks.

Active Scenes

Active Scenes are create by police to mark an area as an active scene. You will get a chat message, a sound notification and a marker on your map of where you need to avoid. If you are in this zone when it is created and not part of the active hostile situation/rp you need to leave the area as soon as possible. If you are outside of the zone when it is create you are to not enter it otherwise it can and will be viewed as NVL. If the circle does cut through a road and you use that road to temporarily pass that is acceptable. The zone lasts at least 5 minutes but can last longer and can be refreshed by an on scene officer which will reset it to another 5 minutes from when the refresh command is executed.

Miscellaneous

Sniper Rifles

Are to never be used outside of hunting (killing animals you are actively hunting).

Gang Rules

This have not been adjusted yet. These will be reworked/looked into going forward

General

Any group joining the city may start a gang at any time, these will not be whitelisted, you can get with a realtor about purchasing a gang house. Once your gang has been established on the server, and noticed by staff, bringing good quality gang rp, we will approach you about a gang controlled item. DO NOT ask staff for items for your group!

Number of gang members allowed in a gang is 12, but only 8 members are allowed to be active in gang related business at one time, excluding meetings.

Only four gang members can be involved in a state robbery, or involved in a situation with the police. The only exception to this rule is if the cops roll up to your gang hideout to serve a warrant. This does not mean if you have prior knowledge of a raid, to have all eight members come to the raid location (limit this to 6).

Outside of the above scenarios gang's MUST follow the rule of two (up to 8 members, meaning you cannot have 8 on 10)! This includes having someone or a gang meet you.

Roleplay over gun play. Shooting your gun should be your last resort. If someone crosses you and your gang, try to have a meeting with the leader of the gang the member is in. Try and work out a solution, and rp it from there.

Wars

During the duration of the war, all current server rules apply, including the rule of plus two for criminals in a single rp situation. Gang allies are not allowed to assist you in a war at this time. Once the RP situation has started, you CANNOT tag in another gang member to take your spot. If you have to leave for any reason, or your character is downed, you must continue with the original members. Only one gang can be at war with another gang at the same time.

In the event you go down, as the individual that went down, you have a 60min grace period between getting picked up or going to the light. This is to allow you to get geared back up, and get out there. This is something you can choose to use or not but if you choose to engage in hostile RP right away before the 60 min window, you are free game to any and all repercussions. As the player who downed that person, you are not to engage with that person for 60min from the time they go down, unless the losing party engages before the 60min mark. In that case ONLY, you are free to take action against them.

Example I kill Codie, I must wait 60 min from the time I killed him, before engaging with him again, unless he comes at me straight on again. I am then free to value my life and kill him again.

Comserv and prison are off limits for any gang activity. After you have completed your sentence, you have 15 minutes to get geared back up and hit the streets. During this 15 minutes, members of the opposing gang CANNOT engage with you unless you engage with them.

Places gang violence should be kept out of are as follows; Pink cage, pillbox, legion square, and all whitelisted job areas. These are to be considered neutral and off limits for gang on gang activity. This includes attempting to spring your gang members from Pillbox by force.

These places are by no means a safe zone or a place for you to hide and be protected, just places we need to try and avoid at all costs.

Drive-bys

Drive-bys will not be allowed, we attempted this and it just caused issue's. As an alternative to this we will have three hotspot areas. The server hotspot is the grapeseed area (subject to change), and the second/third spot will be an area picked by both gangs. These three areas will be the only places non initiated shootings can take place (Only the gangs at war and must be on the enemy gang(s). Every other location must be initiated per server rules. Please keep the mutual gang hotspot out of the city, or away from heavy traffic areas.(Again I want to say, the hotspots will ONLY be active during gang wars, and will ONLY be allowed by the two gangs at war).

The final gang war will take place on the last day of the war. The two beefing gang leaders will come together to agree on a spot, and a time to meet. When the time and place has been established, on that day, the gangs will show up with all active members (not to exceed two more then the opposing gang, but can exceed the 8 member cap). Once the war starts it will not stop until one side is completely down. After the dust has settled, the gang left standing is the winner of the war, and claims whatever prize the gangs were fighting for. During the final war, the police will stage close but will not interfere in the war. For all conflicts leading up to the final war, the police will respond to shots fired, but will treat the hot zones with extreme caution.

A few things to add in closing, body camping or dragging someone around so they can't remember the situation leading to their death, while this will be allowed, it will be carefully monitored. What is the point of gang war if no one remembers anything, plus you want that side to remember who they are messing with.

Group/Gang Conflict

You should attempt to match numbers within reason in group conflicts (This doesn't mean exact numbers). You should also avoid power gaming other players with numbers. Robbing a lone person with 6 people could be considered power gaming. The only exemption for this rule is after someone has been captured and there is no genuine chance for their rescue. You may bring them to other players if it furthers the story and the initial conflict has subsided.

Do not continually hit the same group over and over again over a long period of time. This can be considered power gaming.

You must have a reason for group conflict - there needs to be an option for the other group to get out of the conflict. A reasonable amount of money for tax, territory etc… Ordering a group to fold or completely cease operations is power gaming if pushed.

Admin mediation is available if needed for degrading group conflict scenarios.

Owners reserve the right to terminate any war on the spot with or without cause, rules are subject to change at anytime.
